AirBorne United Kingdom

Airborne Australia in UK is a trading name owned by Graham Webster.

Webbo, as he is know to friends and customers alike, with a life time background in mechanical and electrical engineering, came to the sport of microlighting late in life but now runs his own airfield and flying school as a qualified CAA microlight flexwing instructor, flying – of course – the fabulous Airborne Edge XT912.

Webbo’s association with Airborne started back in 2002 following a visit to Airborne’s facility in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Owing to the demands of BCAR section S the standard to which all microlights sold in to the UK must comply, Airborne aircraft were not available to the UK market but at the time of Webbo’s visit to the plant, a ground-up redesign was taking shape to satisfy the requirements of the UK specification.  The distribution rights for the UK were secured and two years later – with no prior warning, the Airborne XT912 was shown to a surprised public at the annual Popham Microlight Trade Fair.  The aircraft set a new standard in build quality and performance and has developed a dedicated and appreciative cliental.

Early concerns over the continuity of support for the product have proved to be unfounded as Airborne Australia in UK provides a personal 24/7 service to its customers.  “I never shut up shop – if a customer wants something, they all have my personal mobile number and can call me anytime” says Webbo.  Spares availability has the same sort of guarantee.  All typical ‘consumables’ are available from UK stock.  Significant supplies, such as a replacement wing, are available from Australia much faster than the insurance assessor can produce the claim approval – the factory, after all, is only a 23 hour airfreight flight away.

Airborne Australia In UK is here to stay and will continue to provide its growing customer base with a personal service that cannot be beaten.  Quality of product is the commitment from the factory.  Quality of service to support the product is Webbo’s commitment.
